Spalted maple, salvaged from a tree in Portland's St. Johns neighborhood, turned into a plain, slightly tapered column and left untextured. The spalt's black lines run down the surface like ink drawn into the grain. Solid and substantial for its size.
Fitted with an acrylic insert that holds water, so it takes fresh cuttings and flowers as easily as it stands on its own.
For the curious, the tree stood at 45°35'38.6"N 122°44'59.1"W.
Dimensions (approx.):
Ø: 3.75" (9.5 cm)
H: 7" (17.8 cm)
Domestic shipping is included.
