Turned from spalted big leaf maple, salvaged from a tree in Portland's St. Johns neighborhood, then erosion-textured into fine horizontal bands that run the full height. The spalt's black lines wander down through the courses.
Fitted with an acrylic insert that holds water, so it takes fresh cuttings and flowers as easily as it stands on its own.
